About the Role:
The Literary Arts sector in Singapore is a vibrant ecosystem comprising four key sub-sectors: English, Malay, Tamil, and Chinese. This role offers unique opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Manage the development of selected sectors, genres, and key components within the Literary Arts ecosystem. Gather intelligence on local and international trends in the sector and broader creative economy, translating insights into strategies and growth opportunities. Create strategic value for the sector by implementing Literary Arts initiatives as part of an overall arts plan. Monitor development, progress, evaluate outcomes and impact of initiatives. Cultivate and monitor key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and growth through strategic platforms, events, and national initiatives. Administer grant schemes, assessing applications, monitoring, and evaluating outcomes.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in industry development, grant management, or administration, preferably in related fields such as publishing, literary translation, or retail. Proficiency in English; knowledge of literature and publishing is essential. Additional proficiency in Chinese and knowledge of Singapore's literary scene are advantages. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills. Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data. Good project management and administrative skills. Team-oriented with the ability to foster collaborations. Adaptability to changing contexts, meticulous, organized, and process-oriented.
