Job Summary

Skyworks is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Engineer to join our team. As an Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for managing new equipment start-ups, liaising with vendors, and ensuring the acceptance of equipment for production. You will also lead equipment improvements in OEE, maintenance cost, and preventive and predictive maintenance of assigned tools.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. You will be a team player with good communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Experience in visual inspection or test tools will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new equipment start-ups and liaise with vendors
  • Lead equipment improvements in OEE, maintenance cost, and preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Ensure all equipment PMs and PM specs are up to date and all maintenance activities are completed on schedule
  • Lead and provide technical guidance to the team of equipment technicians
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and solutions in regard to Wafer Backend operations
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and a multi-cultural environment
  • Lead on spare part management and cost minimization
  • Generate regular Equipment downtime pareto reports and analyze for chronic/repeated issues
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Team player with good communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Experience in visual inspection or test tools will be an advantage
