About the Role

The Biomedical Signal Engineer will be part of the Biomedical Engineering Team within the Digital Health Organization, working on developing research capabilities to validate biomedical wearable sensors and digital health technologies for clinical trial applications.

This involves collaborating with senior Biomedical Engineering members to conduct testing over multiple DHTs, integrating biomedical data into advanced analytics platforms, designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows to process biomedical datasets, and utilizing Python and R for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in biomedical engineering, sensor technology, signal processing, and data analytics, with experience working with digital sensors, conducting signal processing analytics, and operating lab equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage DHT testing capabilities by collaborating with senior Biomedical Engineering members, managing the lab space and equipment, and handling DHTs for in-house testing.
  • Assist in developing in-house evaluation tests and user acceptance tests (UATs) for related DHTs, including scheduling sessions and monitoring participants.
  • Support data preparation and analysis for in-house evaluations and UATs, ensuring the quality, security, and scalability of biomedical data solutions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in testing of human movement, human physiology, and 2+ years of experience conducting signal processing analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making skills, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Experience working with time series data for signal processing, visualization, analysis, and reporting using tools such as Python, R.
