Job Title: Skilled Cook - Steaming Expert

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic kitchen team as a skilled cook specializing in steaming techniques. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who can bring their passion for cooking to our restaurant.

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and steaming dishes to the highest standards. They will follow specific recipes and plating standards, maintaining proper timing and temperature to ensure flavor and texture.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar kitchen role and strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards. They should be able to perform split shifts, work on weekends and public holidays, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and steam dishes to order
  • FOLLOW specific recipes and plating standards
  • Maintain proper timing and temperature for all steamed dishes
  • Monitor inventory and freshness of ingredients
  • Clean and maintain steamers and related equipment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar kitchen role
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Able to perform split shift, work on weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
