Storage Systems Architect

The Storage Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for the administration, management, and maintenance of storage systems, including SAN and NAS devices. This role involves performing routine tasks such as health checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to storage hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and manage storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
- Perform health checks and monitor storage devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to storage hardware and software.
- Integrate storage solutions into the customer's operating environment, ensuring interoperability.
- Regularly update firmware and software to ensure compatibility and security.
- Document storage solutions and create test plans to ensure successful implementation.
- Manage Enterprise Backup Administration and Symantec or Commvault backup environments.
- Configure and schedule backup jobs, tune backup server performance, and troubleshoot backup-related issues.
- Plan capacity for tape libraries and backup servers.
- Perform Disaster Recovery for critical systems and rebuild production or DR servers as needed.
- Identify potential changes and improvements for consideration and implementation.
- Create and distribute reports on progress to Technical Operations Manager.
- Certified Storage (SAN) and/or Backup Administrator in administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with EMC, Hitachi, and Huawei storage systems.
- Good knowledge of Tape, Troubleshooting, Active Directory, VMware, Scripting, Administration, NAS Storage, Firmware, Windows, Performance Tuning, storage systems, ITIL, Scheduling, Disaster Recovery, Virtualization, Linux.
