Hitachi Storage Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hitachi storage administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our Hitachi storage systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Hitachi storage architecture and technologies, including midrange and enterprise storage systems, replication, snapshot, shadow image, and remote replication sync and async. Additionally, experience with Hitachi Global Active Device and tools such as HCS, HTnM, and HDLM is highly desirable.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the performance and availability of our storage systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing excellent customer service. A strong analytical skillset and ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Hitachi storage solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Manage and maintain existing Hitachi storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot storage-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for storage systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills:
  • Hitachi storage architecture and technologies.
  • Midrange and enterprise storage systems.
  • Replication, snapshot, shadow image, and remote replication sync and async.
  • Hitachi Global Active Device and tools such as HCS, HTnM, and HDLM.
  • Brocade switch and fabric (zoning, ISL, trunking, fabric merging).
  • Basic knowledge of VMware, OS (AIX/Windows/Linux).
  • Basic scripting knowledge.

  • Project Management Background:
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
