Heavy Vehicle Technician
  • Seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team as a Heavy Vehicle Technician.

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, including cranes, prime movers, and mobile cranes.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Replacing worn-out or damaged components such as hydraulic pumps, engines, and cables.

 

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

The technician will be expected to:

  • Identify operational issues and breakdown causes.
  • Use diagnostic tools and manuals to pinpoint malfunctions.
  • Conduct on-site emergency repairs when necessary.

 

Compliance and Safety

The role requires the ability to:

  • Ensure all repairs follow manufacturer guidelines and industry safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections to prevent equipment failure.

 

Fieldwork and Site Support

The successful candidate will:

  • Travel to job sites to perform maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Work closely with crane operators and site managers to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in heavy vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical circuits in cranes.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites for on-site repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to interact with crane operators and supervisors.
  • A valid driver's license (preferred for on-site repairs).
