**Job Title:** Senior Health Safety Manager

 

**Job Description:**

  • The primary responsibility of the Senior Health Safety Manager is to oversee and manage the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) functions within the organization.
  • He/She will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • The Senior HSE Manager will lead a team of professionals responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, reducing risk, and promoting a culture of health and safety across all operations.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
    • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Provide training and awareness programs for employees on health and safety best practices.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with operations and recommend control measures.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers.
  • **Required Skills and Qualifications:**
    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
    • At least 10 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the shipbuilding industry.
    • Proven track record in managing and implementing HSE programs.
    • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, laws, and standards.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
