Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Critical Infrastructure Specialist. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining critical systems within our data centers, ensuring high uptime, efficiency, and safety without disruption.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls fields, with a strong focus on maintenance and operations. A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

This role requires working on a shift schedule, which may include nights and holidays. The candidate must be able to perform hands-on tasks, utilize computerized tooling in a control room environment, and respond promptly to emergencies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including physical and administrative operations, service, and maintenance according to site processes and procedures.
  • Complete work orders accurately and on time using an enterprise asset management system (EAM).
  • Maintain technical expertise regarding data center infrastructure and operations. Successfully complete personnel qualification standards (PQS) training.
  • Provide technical assistance and support as required.
  • Respond promptly to data center facility emergencies using established procedures or emergency operating procedures.
  • Regularly inspect equipment, buildings, safety routes, and grounds to check for abnormal or unsafe conditions or faults.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend system upgrades.
  • Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure work meets agreed processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Escala**te issues to facility management appropriately and timely.
  • Assist in scheduling and supervising vendors/subcontractors during equipment/systems maintenance and service.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to the operations and maintenance program on an ongoing basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance fields.
  • Associate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years of experience or Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls will be considered in lieu of 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience with performing physical activities required for operational tasks safely and effectively.
