English Teacher Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English teaching, with experience in preparing students for the Cambridge English Key (KET) and Preliminary (PET) exams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans based on the Cambridge KET and PET syllabus to help students build strong speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.
  • Apply a communicative approach to teach students effectively, providing them with opportunities to practice their language skills in real-life situations.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for exam components and strategies, ensuring they are well-prepared for their assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance to monitor their development and make informed decisions about their instruction.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students and parents as needed, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in teacher training and professional development sessions to enhance their teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in the field.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field to demonstrate a strong foundation in English language and pedagogy.
  • Obtain a CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent teaching certification to showcase their expertise in teaching English as a foreign language.
  • Have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience teaching Cambridge KET/PET or similar English proficiency levels, demonstrating their ability to adapt to different student needs and levels.
  • Exhibit strong familiarity with Cambridge English exams and assessment formats, ensuring they can effectively prepare students for their assessments.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills to create a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Display a willingness to adapt their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of their students, promoting inclusivity and accessibility in the classroom.
