Job Description

The APAC Head of Consumer Product Technology will play a pivotal role in driving technology strategy and execution plans across multiple cross-geography and cross-business line transformation programs.

This leader will lead a team of Program/Project Managers and Technology Leads in the APAC Regional Office and the APAC off-shore Business Service Centres, overseeing all Information Technology-related projects and activities for the Consumer Product distribution portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Engagement: Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to build alignment, define technology strategy, and develop execution plans. Communicate regularly, negotiate success, report progress, manage risks, and resolve issues.
  • Program Management: Manage multiple, concurrent global, regional, and local technology programs and projects. Ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, meeting business expectations, and quality standards. Identify and manage issues and risks promptly. Adhere to Chubb project management standards.
  • Systems Development: Oversee the development of multiple solutions and systems, adhering to Chubb's architectural standards and system development frameworks (agile and waterfall).
  • Service and Risk Management: Manage and report on service levels for multiple global, regional, and local systems. Implement ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management), Information Security processes (vulnerability management), and Risk Management processes (currency).
  • Team Leadership: As a key member of the APAC Technology Leadership team, lead and motivate diverse, distributed Chubb and partner teams. Be responsible for the talent agenda (acquisition, retention) for the Claims technology function.
Requirements:
  • 15 years+ of experience in developing and running enterprise systems, and/or managing related projects in complex, multi-geography, multi-business line environments.
  • 10 years+ of experience in managing a Technology function and team, in a regulated industry, ideally Financial Services.
  • Experience in managing over $5M budget and 50+ resources in a distributed environment.
  • Digital transformation experience, preferably in Insurance sales distribution channels/policy administration systems.
  • Proficiency in standard Project Management frameworks (PMP), and waterfall and agile system development methods and tools.
  • Experience with implementing and operating within ITIL aligned service management frameworks for production support.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at an executive level.
  • Strong people leadership skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
