Job Title: Infrastructure Coordinator

You will provide crucial support to the Design Manager in overseeing day-to-day project activities, ensuring seamless coordination with consultants and stakeholders. Your technical expertise will be invaluable in resolving discrepancies, facilitating approvals, and addressing engineering challenges during projects.

About the Role

  • Support the Design Manager in coordinating design activities for major infrastructure projects, providing expert advice on design optimization, and ensuring project specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with consultants to develop integrated multi-disciplinary approaches, ensuring complete integration with overall project requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and monitor detailed schedules and targets for temporary and permanent works design submissions with consultants to ensure alignment with construction programs.
  • Potentially optimize design approaches to minimize construction costs.
  • Provide technical solutions for complex site issues and resolve technical discrepancies during project execution.
  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and execution strategies by providing technical input.
  • Guide and allocate tasks to senior design engineers and design engineers for overall design requirements to support project success.
  • Develop Site Construction and Design Coordination (SCD) documents for consultants' input and advice on site issues and changes.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, recognized by the PE board or acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, with 8 years in design for complex rail/road projects.
  • Experience in dealing with authorities/agencies submissions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure.
