Public Transportation Team Member Job Summary
This is a pivotal role in the success of public transportation services, ensuring seamless operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining stringent safety and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ticket Verification: Verify passengers have valid tickets for their journey or entry, adhering to established regulations.
- Passenger Assistance: Address customer inquiries, resolve ticketing issues, assist with seating or other travel-related problems, promoting a positive passenger experience.
- Safety and Security: Ensure passengers are safe, enforce rules and regulations, report any security concerns or restricted items to authorities, upholding the highest standards of safety and security.
- Fare Collection & Dispute Resolution: Handle passengers without correct fare, explain consequences, offer solutions such as purchasing a new ticket, promoting transparency and fairness.
- Record Keeping: Prepare charge sheets, manage ticket inventory, perform administrative tasks related to ticketing and operations, maintaining accurate records and efficient processes.
- Critical Skills:
- Communication Skills: Clearly and politely communicate with passengers, colleagues, and authorities, fostering effective collaboration and teamwork.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve issues, such as fare disputes, calmly and effectively, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Attention to Detail: Accurately check tickets and ensure compliance with regulations, maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
