Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality and Innovation Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive audit programs to assess food quality, safety, and compliance with internal and external standards / regulations. The successful candidate will also design and implement robust training programs focusing on food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and Compliance:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive audit programs to assess food quality, safety, and compliance with internal and external standards / regulations.
    • Conduct regular, detailed audits across multiple locations, focusing on health and safety, preparation processes, and final product presentation.
    • Perform mystery shopper assessments and operational reviews, particularly targeting high-volume quick service restaurants (QSR) and fast-food environments, to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
  • Training and Development:
    • Design and implement robust training programs focusing on food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
    • Train kitchen and service staff on food science principles, emphasizing best practices in hygiene, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
  • Innovation:
    • Work with the culinary, operations and marketing teams to design innovative menu items, focusing on market trends, customer preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
    • Leverage food science and nutrition expertise to create balanced, appealing, and nutritionally sound offerings.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration. Certifications in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, WSQ Level 3) are strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, food innovation, quality management, or product development, specifically within QSRs, fast food chains, or multi-location F&B environments, is required.

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid annual leave, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
