Job Summary

The Early Intervention Educator will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre and programme goals in close partnership with the Therapists, Social Workers, Psychology Associates, Administrative Staff and Families of the children.

Main Responsibilities

  • Co-teach an effective education programme for the class to meet every child's Individualised Education Plan (IEP).
  • Brainstorm and plan activities to support students' learning and development.
  • Prepare teaching resources and materials.
  • Ensure students are well supervised during contact time in the centre/classroom.
  • Manage students' behavior and maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Carry out recommended therapeutic interventions and support the development of students' adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.
  • Receive and discharge students before and after class.
  • Supervise Teacher Aides under their charge and attend workshops and in-service training.
  • Maintain good communication with parents and make each parent feel at ease with/at the programme.

Requirements

  • Non-related Diploma in any discipline.
  • Mature, independent, creative, flexible thinking and able to motivate children.
  • Good people skills and able to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of the diverse cultures and races.
  • Patience, love, passion & commitment in the education of & nurturing young children and empowering the families.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Keen to develop professionally.
