Job Opportunity:
The role of Pastry Craftsman is a vital part in the success of our organization. We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Pastry Craftsman.

Job Summary

The Pastry Craftsman is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, excellent knowledge of commercial baking equipment and techniques, and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a variety of items such as artisan breads, buns, pastries, cookies, cakes, and tarts
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards
  • Measure and mix ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other kitchen equipment
  • Monitor baking process and adjust oven temperatures/times as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, utensils, and equipment
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards
  • Assist in inventory management-monitor ingredients, place orders, and manage stock rotation
  • Comply with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute to new product development or seasonal items, if required
  • Work closely with kitchen and service teams for smooth daily operations

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a baker or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with commercial baking equipment and techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to work early hours and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
