Job Description:

The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for providing rehabilitation care and services to residents of the Nursing Home. They will have opportunities to work with other healthcare professionals to design appropriate rehabilitation programs for the residents.

Key responsibilities include assessing, evaluating and identifying rehabilitation needs of residents, formulating and implementing individualized physiotherapy programs, and evaluating treatment on a regular basis.

Clinical Care

  • Assess and evaluate resident rehabilitation needs to develop and implement appropriate physiotherapy programs.
  • Monitor and review treatment to document progress and ensure effectiveness.
  • Prescribe assistive devices to improve function in daily activities.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams involved in the rehabilitation process.

Training & Development

  • Guide and supervise physiotherapy students, therapist assistants and caregivers on their performance of duties and implementation of programs.
  • Provide training for caregivers to prepare residents for discharge back into the home environment.

Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' treatment plans.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all treatment rendered to residents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Rehab Manager or Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in physiotherapy recognized by the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council.
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in rehab services and hospitals, care homes and rehab centers. Fully Registered Therapist with the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council preferred.
