Commercial Excellence Director

As a key member of the Hyperion Materials & Technologies team, you will be responsible for driving commercial excellence in Asia. This involves developing, refining, and implementing key commercial processes to drive adoption of Hyperion Sales processes throughout the region. You will lead regular meetings of the sales team, coach and sustain commercial toolkits, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets to improve (TTIs). You will also partner with regional leaders to drive policy deployment, build playbooks, and implement them across the region to achieve outsized growth.
Key Responsibilities- Drive adoption of Hyperion Sales Process by ensuring regular review of material and leading the sales team on how to use the appropriate tools, techniques, and templates to win opportunities.
- Optimize sales processes, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement in sales operations efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, and IT, to align sales operations with overall business objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance sales performance.
- Manage sales opportunity funnel review calls, ensuring accountability for following established standard work.
- Support the weekly, monthly, and annual forecasting cadence by maintaining templates, overseeing the input process, providing analysis, and implementing continuous improvements.
- Develop Key Account dashboards and create a process that tracks the progress of increased penetrations in Key Accounts.
- Propagate the use of Action Plans by the sales team with clearly defined actions, owners, and due dates.
- Continuously improve the usage of the CRM by the sales team.
- Curate commercial best practices and drive their implementation across the sales team.
- Collaborate with Marketing to improve lead qualification and management process.
- Support voice of the customer execution and analysis to identify customer satisfaction, needs, and customer dissatisfiers.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue vs. plan, contact rate, quote closure rate, and gross profit percentage.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in commercial operations, with a proven track record of driving commercial excellence in high-performing environments. You will also need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights. Additionally, you will need to have strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive business objectives.
Education and/or Work ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business, with an MBA preferred. They will also have 2-5 years of commercial experience in industrial sales, with a demonstrated success in creating, coaching, and sustaining commercial processes and playbooks in high-performing environments.
