Job Title: Warehouse and Delivery Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse and Delivery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles for delivery and collection of goods, documents, or materials as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a valid local driving license and at least 1-2 years of driving experience. Additionally, experience in warehouse operations is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles for delivery and collection of goods, documents, or materials as assigned
  • Plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient transport
  • Ensure goods are loaded and unloaded with proper handling to avoid damage
  • Maintain a log of daily driving activities, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery records
  • Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company policies at all times

Vehicle Upkeep:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing basic vehicle checks (oil, water, tires, lights) and reporting any issues promptly. Additionally, they will arrange for scheduled servicing and repairs when required, and keep the vehicle clean (interior and exterior) and roadworthy.

General Support:

The Warehouse and Delivery Assistant will assist other departments as required, including ad hoc warehouse & logistics tasks. They will handle goods with care and ensure documentation is accurate.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid local driving license (specify class, e.g. Class 3/3A)
  • At least 1-2 years of driving experience preferred; experience in warehouse operations is an advantage
  • Able to handle physical work, including lifting and moving goods
  • Good knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations
  • Punctual, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate may be required to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays depending on operational needs. The working environment involves both indoor (warehouse) and outdoor (delivery driving) duties.
