Job Overview

The Operations Specialist role requires a high degree of expertise in executing commodity contracts with precision and accuracy. Key responsibilities include handling day-to-day operations, ensuring contract compliance, managing supply and delivery schedules, nominating inspection companies, and maintaining accurate operational records.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Execute the full deal life cycle for commodity contracts with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ensure contract obligations are executed flawlessly, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Manage supply and delivery/loading schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Nominate inspection companies for cargo quality and quantity control.
  • Manage storage locations, including stock reconciliations.
  • Perform post-deal activities such as customs clearance, demurrage, and claims.
Skill Requirements:
  • Strong academic credentials with numerical aptitude.
  • Significant experience in oil trading and multi-commodity operational management.
  • Proficiency in handling cargo documentation, bills of lading, and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
