The Role

This is a hybrid role that requires strong investment and operational knowledge to perform duties for both portfolio management and trading support teams. The Trading Operations Lead Specialist provides 24-hour coverage, performing specialized tasks related to portfolio management, order entry, and trade date matching of all asset classes.

  • Create and prepare equity, fixed income, derivative, and currency trade orders for the Trading department based on instructions from the portfolio management team.
  • Liaise with counterparties to match trade details on trade date.
  • Monitor significant upcoming cash flows and account transitions, assisting in the implementation of investment team instructions.

The successful candidate will have expertise in equity, fixed income, and derivative security types, as well as strong analytical skills and ability to develop creative solutions. They will also be able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.

We are looking for a skilled professional who can efficiently utilize resources, collaborate with others, and work independently in a demanding environment. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use proprietary global modeling tools to create cash management equity program order baskets.
  • Complete pre-trade workflow, including creating and modifying orders, navigating compliance reviews, and error checking.
  • Act as liaison between portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to monitor holdings and implement investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departments/teams across the firm to improve process and strategic improvements for new account setup, account transitions, security setup, and compliance rule tracking.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in financial services industry.
  • 5-6+ years of related investment and trading operations experience.
  • Proven expertise in equity, fixed income, and derivative security types.
  • Established ability to efficiently utilize resources and communicate with others.
