Key Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Data Engineer to play a crucial part in the bank's transformation efforts. This role involves integrating EDP releases, performing zOS Db2 SQL Tuning, and maintaining zOS Db2 housekeeping.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate EDP releases according to the EDP release rollout plan.
  • Perform SQL tuning on zOS Db2 databases.
  • Maintain regular Db2 housekeeping tasks.
  • Analyze discovery results and take corresponding actions.
  • Manage database artifacts.
  • Provide detailed reports and key performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Mainframe data engineering role, preferably with a finance sector background.
  • Excellent skills in IBM zOS Db2 Administration and SQL Scripting.
  • Firm understanding of Mainframe zOS operating systems.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and dependency data, such as server and subsystem application relations.
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English language skills required to support the local client base.
