Job Overview:

As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. This position requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Coordinate with Sales Support to confirm delivery dates and addresses.
  • Obtain freight cost and transit time quotes from forwarders for the team or customers.
  • Notify Sales Support when orders are ready for local delivery, export, or port delivery.
  • Arrange transport for deliveries and exports with forwarding agents.
  • Verify stock availability upon request from Sales Support.
  • Provide product samples or photos as requested by customers or distributors.
  • Support urgent shipments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with storekeepers to meet order picking deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate picking and timely delivery of items.
  • Enter product serial numbers into EQ order and Navision systems after receiving pick tickets.
  • Create delivery orders (DO) for local deliveries with detailed information.
  • Plan and assign deliveries to drivers efficiently.
  • Prepare shipping documents (proforma invoices and packing lists) for export.
  • Share shipping labels with the warehouse team.
  • Arrange fumigation for wooden pallets if required for export.
  • Review transporter invoices to avoid overcharges before sending to accounts.

Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should also have a strong understanding of logistics operations and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
