Marine Insulation Specialist Job Description

As a Marine Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing insulation works for pipes, equipment, boilers, and vessels. Your role will involve inspecting insulation surfaces to ensure uniformity, no gaps or voids, and verifying thickness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify distance between bands and check moisture protection to prevent damage.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating with other workers on applying insulating material to exposed surfaces. You will also need to estimate and requisition necessary materials and supplies. Additionally, you will explain new insulation techniques to workers and assign duties accordingly.

Some of your key tasks will include:

  • Maintaining daily and weekly work records and reporting to higher officials.
  • Coordinating with Site Managers and Engineers for installation.
  • Monitoring task progress and ensuring compliance with approved IFC drawings and BISCI Standards.
