In this role, you will be responsible for installing wall and floor tiles in various settings. This includes aligning and straightening tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Tile Installation: Align and straighten tile using levels, squares, and straightedges to ensure a precise fit.
  2. Layout Planning: Determine the best layout to achieve a desired pattern, taking into account the size and shape of the tiles, as well as the space available.
  3. Cutting and Shaping: Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools.
  4. Joint Finishing: Finish and dress the joints, wiping excess grout from between tiles using a damp sponge.
  5. Mortar Application: Apply mortar to the tile back, position the tile, and press or tap with a trowel handle to affix the tile to the base.
  6. Surface Preparation: Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following blueprints and ensuring accurate measurements.
  7. Underbeds and Anchor Bolts: Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets as required.
