Job Overview

Pipe welding is a specialized trade that requires precision, skill, and attention to detail. Pipe welders are responsible for joining pipes together using various welding processes, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG), and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct fit-up, tack welding, and final welding on pipes and structural fittings in marine or offshore environments
  • Ensure weld quality meets Class and shipyard standards through regular inspection and testing
  • Perform basic grinding to smooth out weld surfaces and remove imperfections
Requirements
