Quantitative Strategist Job Description

A global financial institution is seeking a talented and experienced Quantitative Strategist to join its Options desk. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with accomplished traders, quantitative researchers, and developers in a high-performance environment focused on innovation and market efficiency.

As a Quantitative Strategist, you will play a critical role in developing and refining advanced models and trading strategies across global options markets. Your contributions will directly enhance our scalable trading systems and drive improvements in market liquidity and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop predictive models and volatility signals using modern statistical techniques.
  • Translate signals into viable trading strategies and evaluate their performance.
  • Enhance and optimize current volatility pricing models for accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Adapt strategies across multiple products and evolving market conditions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new signals into live trading infrastructure.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in quantitative research within an Options Automated Market Maker.
  • Expertise: Proven record in building delta and/or volatility signals and applying options pricing theory.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C++; adept at working with large datasets to uncover actionable patterns.
  • Analytical Ability: Exceptional quantitative reasoning, mathematical sophistication, and problem-solving capability.
