Tealady/Office Cleaner Job Description

Cleanliness is crucial in any childcare setting. As a Tealady/Office Cleaner, your responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, office, and common areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean all surfaces, including floors, windows, doors, fans, shelves, cabinets, shoe racks, cubbies, children's tables, and chairs, as well as the dining area.
  • Clean floor rugs, art and craft areas, and soft covers.
  • Clean areas if children soil themselves.
  • Clear rubbish from the classroom/office.
  • Wash dishes.
  • Maintain and stock-take cleaning supplies.
  • Assist in the kitchen when needed.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare setting, demonstrating competence in maintaining cleanliness.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with young children and adapt to their needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with student care center staff.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving around the student care center.
  • Certificate in Food Handling and Safety is an advantage.
