Job Role:

Senior Architectural Associate


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project briefs and work on these as the project progresses.
  • Prepare planning applications and other regulatory application procedures.
  • Prepare design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods.
  • Assist in the detailed design process and coordinate design information.
  • Prepare/update tender documentation and construction drawings.
  • Liaise with appropriate authorities to obtain statutory approval.
  • Attend site visits and record minutes/discussions.
  • Assist project architect in coordinating site issues.
  • Produce and analyze detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used in construction.
  • Understand how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues.
  • Coordinate and liaise with various consultants on the project team.
  • Advising clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking.
  • Lead the preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings.
  • Assist in administering contracts and project certifications.
  • Obtain feedback on work in progress and finished results from clients.
  • Make site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running within the agreed timescale.
  • Solve problems that might occur during building/construction stage.
  • Carry out defect inspections.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years experience in the architectural industry in Singapore or Malaysia.
  • Able to work within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with building regulations (Singapore or Malaysia).
  • Strong Portfolio.
  • Good working attitude, proactive and conscientious.
