Support Worker Role

This role requires a caring and compassionate individual who can provide daily support to residents in need.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with personal care, serving meals, and maintaining good hygiene practices.

This includes regular showering, nail and hair cutting, changing clothes and bed sheets according to schedule.

You will also participate in on-site activities with the residents, promoting socialization and engagement.

In addition, you will work closely with therapists and psychologists to provide interventions for residents, accompanying them to medical appointments as needed.

Maintaining a clean and tidy environment is crucial, so you will be responsible for keeping the resident's area clean and assisting with general cleaning tasks.

Accurate documentation of care given is essential, so you will maintain records of residents' progress and provide guidance on daily living skills.

You will require the ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment, prioritizing tasks and demonstrating a sense of urgency.

A supportive and patient personality is essential for this role, as you will be working with individuals who may have autism or other special needs.

Shift work is required, so flexibility is necessary.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • a minimum WPLN Level 3 or GCE O Level/NITEC qualification, preferably in Nursing
  • supervisory skills, an advantage
  • experience in direct handling of youths/adults (age 19 & above) with autism, an advantage
  • residential/special needs settings experience, advantageous
  • PC literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
