Job Overview

The Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) asset manager role is responsible for overseeing the performance and quality of assets. This involves comprehensive monitoring of the condition, whole system life cycle management, and making trade-off decisions to optimize useful life versus life extension or timely renewal of assets.

This role requires maintaining high reliability and availability of the Singapore MRT/LRT systems. You will work closely with Public Transport Operators and LTA divisions, using appropriate asset renewal tools like whole life cycle models to develop long-term asset renewal and replacement plans.

You will lead a team to develop asset replacement plans, manage replacements, and ensure sustainability for the next 30 years. Key responsibilities include preparing funding submissions, coordinating asset replacement/renewal projects, developing master asset replacement plans, managing multi-year cash flow submissions, and ensuring processes are developed for implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess knowledge in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical, Systems, Rail Engineering, Building, or Facilities Management. Preferably, you have relevant railway system experience in Renewal Planning and/or Rolling Stock, Signalling, Communications, and Control systems.

Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for higher appointments. Self-motivated individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills can effectively engage various stakeholders.
