Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Demand and Supply Planner to join our team at Sealed Air Corporation. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for organizing forecast and inventory planning meetings, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead forecast and inventory planning meetings with cross-functional teams to review sales forecasts, inventory coverage, and aging inventory.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to acquire materials that meet our delivery requirements and ensure the most cost-efficient manner within agreed price targets and budgets.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders to local and overseas suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Monitor and track deliveries, shipments, and inventory levels, following up with suppliers as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to process supplier invoices for payment and work with the operations/logistics team to ensure incoming orders are processed into the SAP system and stored in our warehouse in a timely manner.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing vendors, providing recommendations to ensure vendor performance on pricing, quality, and delivery.
  • Drive cost reduction projects and provide monthly reports and action items.
Requirements
  • Minimum diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in purchase, demand, and planning.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and experience in SAP MM system required.
  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain issues.
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics.
  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory.
  • Good team player with good interpersonal skills.
