Senior Geospatial Data Strategist

As a Data Scientist in the Routing team, you will be involved in optimizing routing platforms that power various services. You will build data products, run experiments, perform literature surveys, create production-grade data pipelines, and collaborate with teams to solve complex geospatial problems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee experimentation design and analysis (A/B testing, Switchback)
- Deep-dive into analysis to support engineering and business decisions
- Design and implement multi-modal capabilities on unstructured data using generative models or deep learning methods
- Own the end-to-end Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) lifecycle, including deployment and maintaining reliability of large-scale real-time ML models
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Engineers, and Product Managers to build, deploy, and scale data science solutions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in data science or related field, preferably in on-demand services or technology industry
- Expertise in Python, R, or Scala, with data manipulation and visualization libraries such as pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, and seaborn
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques with real-world application
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience solving problems using deep learning is a plus
About the Team
The Cartography team builds mapping technologies needed by all internal product teams and business units. We maintain sophisticated data and machine learning systems that power internal products by striving to provide accurate map signals. Our main responsibility is to build data products for ETA prediction, mapping errors detection, map-matching, location search and ranking, and reverse geocoding.
