Job Title: Rail Asset Engineer

Job Description

As a Rail Asset Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of Singapore's Rail Transit System. You will work closely with the Rail Operators to maintain good working knowledge of on-the-ground Operation & Maintenance (O&M) issues.

You will review and audit the Rail Operator's maintenance plan/regime for compliance with relevant technical standards and codes of practice. Your goal is to ensure that the RTS assets under your Division's charge are properly maintained by the Rail Operator.

Additionally, you will work with the Rail Operators to optimize the costs and benefits of assets under your purview, taking into account their service life.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in design/installation, operation, and maintenance of tunnel ventilation systems, environmental control systems, fire protection systems, plumbing/sanitary, pumped drainage, lifts, and escalators
  • Conversant with all relevant technical standards and codes of practice
  • Knowledge of railway work environment and relevant safety requirements
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
