Head of Home - Youth Work / Social Service

Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Home - Youth Work/Social Service to oversee the philosophy and strategic planning of our Division.

  • Develop up-to-date and sustainable philosophy and strategy in terms of case intervention, programmes and operations.
  • Respond to emerging youth trends and changes in the justice system to better meet the objectives of rehabilitation.
  • Develop key channels of communication of values and belief to staff, residents and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Sciences with at least 5 years of experience in managerial or leadership roles. They should possess good knowledge and experiences with social work interventions, social policies and community engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the drafting and amendments of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide guidance for standardization matters.
  • Maintain coordination and network with Heads of Home (Voluntary Children's Homes).
  • Front external liaison, especially with inter-ministerial coordination.
  • Connect resources for learning journeys and exchanges with other agencies/institutions.
  • Ensure adherence to proper governance requirements beyond basic requirements according to Standards of Care.
  • Responsible in achieving Division Goals.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Sciences with min 5 years of experience in managerial or leadership roles.
  • Possess good knowledge and experiences with social work interventions, social policies and community engagement.
