Job Overview

The Financial Portfolio Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial sector, overseeing the monitoring and reporting of assets. This position is responsible for managing portfolio research platforms, conducting reviews, and providing support for performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor asset performance to identify underperformance areas for review;
  • Update performance numbers and process changes from semi-annual due diligence questionnaires (DDQs);
  • Analyze existing practices across the region to review peer groups, propose better suited ones, and expand general investment policy committee (GIPC) coverage;
  • Manage the update and enhancement of the external fund manager list spreadsheet;
  • Organize internal team sites on SharePoint, consolidating information from various team members;
  • Review and enhance existing reports and meeting minutes using AI-driven solutions;
  • Develop templates for due diligence reviews and ongoing monitoring with Morningstar Direct software;
  • Enhance checklists for new asset creation and existing asset restructuring.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools;
  • Familiarity with financial industry standards and regulations.
