Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented software development professional to join our team serving mainframe products.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting new and existing software features.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, test, debug, and document new and existing software features.
  • Business Translation: Work with product managers and product owners to interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality software is delivered by following engineering practices like peer code reviews, code standards, and unit testing.
  • Troubleshooting: Apply extensive technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent domain.
  • Work Experience: 0-2 years of work experience.
  • Development Proficiency: Strong development proficiency in C++ and programming skills.
  • Tools and Systems: Proficiency in software development tools and version control systems.
  • Skillset: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with CAD software usage or development is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Work experience in QT, Jenkins, Python is a plus.
  • Web Technologies: Work experience in web technologies like React, JavaScript, Java is a plus.
  • Theoretical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts within a specific discipline.
  • Learning and Adaptation: Perform routine assignments with direct guidance and oversight from others with more experience. Learn to use professional concepts in practical situations through completion of work assignments and training.
