Respiratory Therapist

WOODLANDSHEALTH PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in providing exceptional respiratory care services to our patients. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and adjusting parameters for patients on invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, as well as performing respiratory care procedures and assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomy.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care: Assess and evaluate patients referred for respiratory therapy services, and provide high-level respiratory care services to all patients in the hospital, including critical care.
- Respiratory Care Procedures: Perform respiratory care procedures, such as tracheobronchial suction, and assist with procedures, such as bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomy.
- Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment to ensure accurate and reliable assessment and diagnosis, and troubleshoot errors when variances arise.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Generate and dispatch accurate reports, and maintain records of reports and patients' records in the departmental database.
- Inventory Management: Check, maintain, and manage inventory stock.
- Quality Improvement and Research: Participate in Quality Improvement projects as assigned, and assist and participate in clinical research activities in the department.
- Community Outreach and Education: Be actively involved in hospital's projects and functions, and participate in community outreach programs, providing caregivers' training for patients requiring long-term respiratory care and CPAP counselling services.
- Education and Credentials: Degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of 2 years working experience in the Intensive Care Unit of a recognized hospital, and Respiratory Therapist credentials in the country of training and licensure.
- Certifications and Training: BCLS certificate (Required), and ACLS certificate (Preferred), and at least one of the following should be attained within two years of employment: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT).
- Skills and Abilities: Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
