Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

In this role, you will perform audits on Repair Source Substantiation (RSS) packages to verify repair characteristic accountability. You will also review RSS audit results to identify trends and coordinate continuous improvement plans to improve New Product Introduction (NPI) quality and first-time yield.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform audits on RSS packages to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
2. Review RSS audit results to identify trends and coordinate continuous improvement plans.
3. Develop quality system procedures for NPI processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency of NPIs delivered by the Engineering team.
4. Track and monitor post-introduction NPIs for quality issues and drive Engineering/Shop for follow-up improvements.
5. Act as a focal point for all NPI-related queries and clarifications about quality/regulatory requirements.
6. Support conduct of shop internal audit plans as necessary.
7. Drive and promote a quality culture and participate in EHS and other shop initiatives as necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess experience in NPI in Aviation or manufacturing special processes including a mixture of heat treat, conventional welding, laser welding, shot peening, coating, chemical processes, non-conventional machining.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant aerospace experience in repair/manufacturing or a quality assurance role.
• Knowledge of general aviation legislation and quality systems (ISO 9001/AS).
• Knowledge of repair/manufacturing fundamentals.
• Holds a recognized Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma quality concepts and tools.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Basic knowledge of PC software (Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of manufacturing special processes (heat treat, welding, shot peening, coating, chemical processes, non-conventional machining).
• Knowledge of RCCA/HF techniques.
• Good initiative and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
