Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Farm Control Systems Specialist to join our team at SHINFOX FAR EAST COMPANY PTE. LTD.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of Instrument & Control ITP inspection and test in compliance with rules and Tai Power requirements. They will also ensure that deliverables from engineering, fabrication, and principal contractors meet company and industry standards.

This is a key role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze information and data objectively and logically. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in SCADA, PLA or DCS control systems and experience in instrumentation and controls.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of Instrument & Control ITP inspection and test in compliance with rules and Tai Power requirement.
  • Ensure that deliverables from engineering, fabrication, and principal contractors meet company and industry standards.
  • Support engineering design review and provide feedback on SCADA, CCTV, Helideck weather monitoring, ESD, telecommunication, F&G shop drawings.
  • Interpret, implement, and document overall control philosophy across wind farm components.
  • Prepare Instrument & Control equipment technical spec and RFQ for procurement team.
  • Participate in Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) preparation and review for wind farm offshore substations (OSS) and commissioning procedure.
  • Involve in EC/MC completion test package preparation to ensure construction completion handed over as per sequence and schedule.
  • Perform daily supervision of installation and commissioning.
  • Attend daily call out inspection and work closely with shipyard construction team, QA, and commissioning team.
  • Involve in wind farm OSS final acceptance test / Proof Concept test procedure preparation.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for wind farm OSS equipment.
  • Involve in O&M procedure preparation and conducting OSS maintenance execution during operation.
  • In association with Maintenance Systems group, review and update preventive maintenance procedures and recommend changes where improvements in safety, quality, or economy may be effected.
  • Contribute to continuous development of new technologies to improve performance and usability of wind farm control systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Communication Engineering.
  • Knowledge in SCADA, PLA or DCS control system.
  • Problem solver, attention to details, ability to analyze information and data objectively and logically.
  • Ability to apply creative thinking and problem-solving skills to complex challenges.
  • Ability to evaluate reliability and validity of sources and evidence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to identify and anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
