About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Officer to join our team at PERMA-LINER INDUSTRIES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing project visibility and community engagement through effective public relations programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to engage with stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and address feedback and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement necessary actions and follow up on resolutions, ensuring seamless communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with property owners, management corporations, Resident Committees, Citizens' Consultative Committees, Town Councils, and other relevant parties to foster open dialogue and cooperation.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc visits to residents affected by the works to gather feedback, provide updates on work schedules, and address concerns effectively.
  • Be available 24/7 throughout the contract period to attend to public relations matters on-site, demonstrating exceptional commitment and dedication.
  • Maintain and update a PR database to record all communication, visits, and follow-up actions, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
  • Evaluate and improve bilingual proficiency (English and another official language of Singapore) in both spoken and written communication, providing high-quality service to diverse stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing feedback/complaints and actions taken, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Serve as Secretary for briefings, meetings, and dialogue sessions with affected parties/residents and relevant committees, ensuring effective facilitation and documentation.
  • Embody a professional appearance and wear proper identification pass during engagements with stakeholders, maintaining a positive image of the company.
  • Organize and facilitate dialogue sessions with affected parties before the commencement of construction work to inform them about project details, fostering transparency and understanding.
  • Prepare and submit a detailed public relations statement and program to the S.O. for approval before the commencement of physical works, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Design, print, and distribute pamphlets, notices, and other materials to inform affected parties about the project's impact and benefits, promoting clear and concise communication.
  • Provide periodic updates and disseminate information to affected parties until project completion, maintaining a strong sense of community engagement.
  • Offer support and assistance for functions and events organized by the S.O. or other relevant parties, showcasing adaptability and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the field of public relations, with relevant qualifications and certifications.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is an asset, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proven track record of conflict resolution and stakeholder management, with a focus on finding mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and reports, with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to challenges and opportunities.
Working Conditions
  • This role requires working primarily in Singapore, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
  • The estimated salary for this position is between $2,600 and $3,200 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
