Strategic Director of Quantity Surveying

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to lead our Quantity Surveying business in Singapore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing existing projects, winning new business, and driving growth across the region.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a deep understanding of each client's business, organisation, expectations, and objectives
- Ensuring client project needs are met, with a clear brief in place
- Managing day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projects
- Continuously seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
- Building lasting relationships with client personnel to foster strong ties
- Raising Currie & Brown visibility through involvement in local industry organisations
- Managing and leading allocated resources
- Leading project teams as required
- Appointing, leading, organising, and controlling the works of other consultants and contractors as needed
- Developing expert knowledge in our industry and sharing it with others
- Actively participating in Currie & Brown internal forums, training, and social events
- Working effectively in a team environment and developing good team working relationships
- Contributing to team effort as well as individual tasks
- Demonstrating energy and enthusiasm

- Working autonomously as a Cost Manager to independently manage all aspects of projects from concept to completion
- Managing internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors
- A good understanding of contracts, a commercial approach to letting tenders, and the ability to negotiate with contractors and suppliers
- Preparing project programmes and monitoring projects in line with those programmes
- Taking initiative in problem-solving
- Serving as a key participant in team and client meetings
- Preparing detailed programmes for project implementation
- Ensuring compliance with QA systems through regular project audits
- Assisting with budget setting for the Business Unit
- Managing quarterly reviews of income and costs against budget
- Managing project profitability and resourcing of assigned projects
- Ensuring fee agreements and contracts are in place for all assignments
- Managing debtor and WIP levels for assigned projects
- Negotiating and obtaining client approvals for fee variations for changes in scope
- Being aware of Currie & Brown business objectives and services and helping to promote where possible
Personal Specification
- An ability to use computers as an aid to cost management, particularly using MS Word, Excel, and MS Project
- Education to at least degree level in a relevant discipline such as M&E/Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management
- Passion for Project and Cost Management, with the ability to demonstrate a desire to work within a leading property consultancy
- Understanding of current industry trends and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Confident, energetic, and an ambitious self-starter
- A good network of clients that can be introduced to Currie & Brown
