Job Description for ICT Educator

The role of the ICT Educator involves teaching A Level ICT to high school students and IGCSE to middle years students. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor of Education or higher from an accredited institution, with at least 2 years of teaching experience in ICT subjects.

The teacher will be expected to:

  • Develop and implement curricula that foster student confidence and proficiency in the subject.
  • Support students in building critical thinking skills through inquiry, observation, and experimentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of each student's learning and progress.

The ICT Educator will also be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with colleagues on daily curriculum planning and student needs.
  • Fostering positive relationships with students using a supportive, respectful, and open-minded attitude.
  • Encouraging social and emotional growth among students.
  • Engaging parents in classroom experiences whenever possible.

The ideal candidate should have a commitment to working in an educational environment that offers academic rigour and excellence in teaching. An understanding of and experience in working in an IB Programme, Cambridge IGCSE, and A Level is desirable.

Requirements
