Job Title: Senior Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in the development of commercially viable health insurance customer offerings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting monthly reserve valuations for premium and claims liabilities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance with IFRS 17 and IFRS 4 frameworks.
  2. Analyzing and presenting valuation and pricing results to stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
  3. Performing experience studies including mortality, morbidity, persistency, inflation, and expense analyses.
  4. Maintaining, enhancing, and developing actuarial models, valuation methodologies, pricing tools, and quotation engines.
  5. Carrying out capital management activities such as ORSA exercises, business projections, budgeting, CAR monitoring, and stress testing.
  6. Managing reinsurance arrangements, including treaty management, reinsurance premium processing, recoveries, and facultative reinsurance for new and existing products.
  7. Supporting system setup and implementation for new product launches.
  8. Preparing and submitting MAS regulatory returns, ensuring full compliance with local reporting standards.
  9. Liaising with auditors during annual financial closings to ensure alignment with IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
  10. Producing and enhancing business management information and client reports, focusing on portfolio management and data-driven business insights.
  11. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and enhance workflows, ensuring data accuracy and appropriateness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Good progress in Actuarial professional examinations.
  • 3-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with basic knowledge of VBA.
  • Good knowledge of Python programming language.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Meticulous and resourceful individual.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in pricing Group Employee Benefit schemes.
