Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm and assess the effectiveness of our SMS (Safety Management System) procedures
  • Prevent incidents and conduct thorough investigations, including managing P&I insurance claims
  • Oversee all audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide regular briefings to top executives on key safety and quality issues
  • Ensure seamless onboard familiarization with SMS procedures
  • Lead onboard management reviews and safety meetings to promote a culture of safety
  • Implement policies and procedures in accordance with our business SMS
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects assigned by the Global Head of Technical or Deputy General Manager (Marine)
  • Communicate CP information and ensure compliance with charter terms as needed
Performance Indicators:

Requirements:
  • Prevent incidents and conduct investigations, including managing P&I insurance issues
  • Thorough understanding of the industry and key players

  • Ideal candidate will have at least one year of Master's level sailing experience
  • Shore experience for at least two to three years in an HSEQ role
  • At least one to two years of shore experience in quality assurance and vetting
  • Prior experience as a successful business leader
