Our organization is a pioneer in the biotechnology industry, driving production of mammalian cell culture and therapies.

This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a trainee, working closely with experienced professionals in the Facilities and Maintenance department at our Tuas site in Singapore.

As a Biotechnologist in our Mammalian business, you will be part of a high-performance integrated biologics team, gaining exposure to cutting-edge biotechnology and innovation.

We are looking for individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who can effectively communicate and work collaboratively within our team.

Below are some key responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Execute daily routine and repair work orders as assigned
  • Ensure all routine maintenance works are carried out as scheduled in compliance with engineering standards and procedures
  • Respond on-call for maintenance/service breakdowns and support ongoing operations
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and carry out basic repairs or report back to the Supervisor
  • Supervise vendors/service providers conducting daily routine HVAC and maintenance work to ensure equipment remains in full operational status
  • Work with supervisor to manage site HVAC system
  • Perform regular equipment inspections to feedback on HVAC status. Execute/supervise repairs or upgrades to enable smooth handover and minimize disruption to production schedules
  • Apply and close work permits with Area/System Owners for vendor/service providers
  • Communicate to Supervisor/Manager when encountering non-compliance issues including work delays, breakdowns, or missing parts

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/ITE in a relevant Science field or equivalent, as well as a good understanding of mammalian cell culture and cGMP regulations.
