Submarine Cable Network Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Submarine Cable Network Operations Manager to join our team at Keppel People Services Pte Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational integrity of our submarine cable network and cable landing station.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a telecommunication service provider or major transmission equipment vendor environment. A graduate or diploma in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering is required, along with relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar qualifications. Strong understanding of submarine cable systems, networking principles, and telecommunications technologies is essential.
Key responsibilities include monitoring the submarine cable network and systems 24/7, detecting and responding to anomalies, outages, and performance issues, analyzing alarms and implementing preventative measures, identifying and assessing network and landing station incidents, and troubleshooting and resolving or escalating issues.
The successful candidate will also analyze performance data and recommend improvements, implement strategies to enhance network capacity and reliability, review and approve planned network changes, coordinate maintenance and upgrades with engineering teams, provide technical support to customers, manage co-location services, and troubleshoot connections.
This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly during high-stress situations, and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and coordinate with external partners. The successful candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment and handle shifting priorities.
