A Teaching Position in Public Policy and Global Affairs
Job DescriptionThe School of Social Sciences invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs) to contribute to teaching in our programme, particularly in the areas of political theory, public policy or public administration, environmental governance, civil society, gender and development, ethics and civics, and comparative politics.
Responsibilities- Develop course materials and syllabus
- Conduct seminars/lectures/tutorials
- Develop assessments for the course
- Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts)
- Invigilate the final examination
- Handle all student queries on course related matter
- Work with the Head of Division to ensure smooth and timely course delivery
Applicants must have at least a PhD in social sciences. Specialisation in a political science subfield will be an advantage. Prior tutoring/lecturing experience will also be an advantage. Applicants must be able to teach and invigilate during office hours.
