Procurement Specialist

Job Description:

A strategic Procurement Specialist is required to perform spend analysis, implement procurement programs, and drive cost reduction initiatives.

  • Perform Spend Analysis to support sourcing strategy and annual plan development.
  • Perform study of supply market intelligence (market, vendor, product, commodity, etc).
  • Implement procurement programs and develop knowledge and skill improvement within the organization.
  • Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support the development and drive the implementation of Group Procurement strategies, policies, and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement planning processes.
  • Lead/Manage the procurement processes; tender management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure new vendors are pre-qualified in accordance to requirement.
  • Ensure purchase orders are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct tenders and make recommendations to the Tender Committee.
  • Understand and influence sourcing project/business requirements.
  • Supplier Classification, Relationship Management, and contract management.
  • Proactively work with Stakeholders and assist in or directly manage spend.
  • Monitor Strategic/key Suppliers to provide internal notifications and develop risk mitigation scenarios.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Supply Chain/Chemical Engineering/Business Mgmt/any related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in any supply chain management namely Procurement, Logistics Management, or Purchasing.
