About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Fund Accountant to join our team at SS&C Technologies Holdings. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our investment funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Accounting: Prepare and review daily accounting records, including reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Month End Tasks: Reconcile month-end trial balances, prepare journal entries, and perform other tasks as required to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insightful commentary on balance sheet and P&L movements, and assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all financial reporting is in accordance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Requirements:

  • University degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in investment fund accounting, preferably in a hedge fund or private equity environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with experience in audit and financial statement preparation desirable.
  • Audit/control-minded individual with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
